Specialist Physician Density

ความหนาแน่นแพทย์เฉพาะทาง

TARGET POST-LAUNCH specialists / 100k Weight 0.5
Not yet wired into the live composite. This indicator is scoped, the source is onboarded, and the methodology v1.1 spike is targeted for post-launch. It's listed here so the roadmap is concrete and the URL is stable for citation.

What it will measure

Specialist physicians per 100,000 residents — pairs with the headline hospital-bed-density indicator to surface the gap between facility presence and clinical capacity. A province with many beds but few specialists is fragile to demand surges.

Source

Ministry of Public Health — HRH Center

Specialist physicians per 100,000 residents, sourced from the Ministry of Public Health Human Resources for Health Center registry.

Direction

Higher is better — scored 0–100 against fixed methodology goalposts. The exact thresholds will be published with the v1.1 release; see the methodology page for the scoring approach.

Status

Target source is the MoPH HRH Center registry, which is not directly scrape-able from outside Thailand (Cloudflare bot challenge on hr.moph.go.th and hrops.moph.go.th; Thai-IP geofencing on bps.moph.go.th and gishealth.moph.go.th). The 2026-05-05 sandbox scan confirmed data.go.th hosts only single-province specialist-physician datasets, not a national rollup. Pull will run from a Thai-IP launchd job similar to the existing 7-Eleven quarterly pull, scheduled for v1.1.
